* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Southern Ford County in east central Illinois... Southwestern Iroquois County in east central Illinois...

* WHEN...Until 1000 PM CDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Roads and streets may be flooded. High water may recede slowly from flooded areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1153 AM CDT, emergency management and local officials recently reported that widespread flooding across portions of the area has begun to recede. Off and on shower activity over the next few hours is unlikely to cause new flooding, but some streams are likely to continue rising or remain elevated due to overnight rainfall. - Drummer Creek south of Gibson City is likely near crest, and Middle Fork Vermilion River south of Paxton is likely slowly rising with a crest possible later today. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Paxton, Gibson City, Melvin, Loda, Elliott and Clarence. - This includes the following streams and their tributaries...
