Details

At 437 PM HST, Doppler radar indicated that moderate to locally heavy showers have diminished over the Koolau Mountains and portions of windward Oahu, with the heaviest rain falling at a rate of up to 1 inch per hour. Water levels in the Waiahole and Waikane Streams have declined considerably, though Oahu Department of Emergency Management recently reported that Kamehameha Highway remains closed at Waikane and Waiahole.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Honolulu, Kahaluu, Waiahole, Ahuimanu, Waikane, Kaneohe, Kaaawa, Aiea, Kaneohe Marine Base, Halawa, Moanalua and Pearl City.
