...The National Weather Service in Chicago IL has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Illinois...
Du Page River at Shorewood affecting Will County.
For the Du Page River...including Shorewood...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Du Page River from IL-59 in Plainfield downstream to confluence with Des Plaines River, including the Shorewood gauge.
* WHEN...Until late Monday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 17.5 feet, Numerous sections of Rolf Road and Lily Cache Road west of Louis Joliet Mall are inundated. Lower portions of Electric Park in Plainfield are inundated. The west I-55 frontage road is threatened between Black Road and Jefferson Street. Parking lot threatened at Hammel Woods just north of Jefferson Street (US-52) in Shorewood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:45 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 14.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 16.9 feet Sunday morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Monday morning. - Flood stage is 15.5 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
