The first round of rainfall is wrapping up with only isolated showers or weak storms possible for the rest of tonight through Sunday morning. Another round of showers and storms are expected for Sunday evening. Heavy rainfall and localized flooding will be possible Sunday evening into early Sunday night, particularly across Maricopa and Pinal Counties.
The Flood Watch is cancelled for a portion of south central Arizona, including the following areas, Aguila Valley, Buckeye/Avondale, Cave Creek/New River, Central Phoenix, Deer Valley, East Valley, Fountain Hills/East Mesa, Mazatzal Mountains, New River Mesa, North Phoenix/Glendale, Northwest Valley, Rio Verde/Salt River, Scottsdale/Paradise Valley, South Mountain/Ahwatukee, Southeast Valley/Queen Creek, Tonopah Desert and Tonto Basin.
Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat tonight, but another round of storms with heavy rainfall is expected Sunday evening. Please continue to heed remaining road closures.
