Wabash River at Terre Haute, Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site, and Montezuma.

.Heavy to extreme rainfall over east-central, southeast, and west central Indiana since the middle of last week is currently causing both moderate and minor flooding on the Wabash River.

Rainfall today up to four inches fell in the upper Wabash drainage area, and the showers and thunderstorms producing the heavy rain are expected to continue through the night, slowly dropping south with time.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Wabash River at Terre Haute.

* WHEN...Until Thursday, August 27.

* IMPACTS...At 25.0 feet, Extensive flooding is in progress. Greenfield Bayou levee may leak. South Lake area extensively floods. Many local roads are under several feet of water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:30 PM EDT Wednesday /9:30 PM CDT Wednesday/ the stage was 24.4 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:30 PM EDT Wednesday /9:30 PM CDT Wednesday/ was 24.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 25.1 feet Friday morning.
