Wabash River at Terre Haute, Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site, and Montezuma.

.Heavy to extreme rainfall over east-central, southeast, and west central Indiana since the middle of last week is currently causing both moderate and minor flooding on the Wabash River.

Rainfall today up to four inches fell in the upper Wabash drainage area, and the showers and thunderstorms producing the heavy rain are expected to continue through the night, slowly dropping south with time.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site.

* WHEN...Until Saturday, August 29.

* IMPACTS...At 22.9 feet, Extensive backwater flooding of Hutson Creek affecting residential property on the south side of Hutsonville. Flood waters near the intersection of N. Main and E. Mechanic St on the northeast side of Hutsonville. RVs and campers located along the river just south of Hutsonville moved to higher ground.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - There is no current observed data. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 23.3 feet Saturday evening. It will then fall below flood stage Friday, August 28. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
