Wabash River at Terre Haute, Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site, and Montezuma.
.Heavy to extreme rainfall over east-central, southeast, and west central Indiana since the middle of last week is currently causing both moderate and minor flooding on the Wabash River.
Rainfall today up to four inches fell in the upper Wabash drainage area, and the showers and thunderstorms producing the heavy rain are expected to continue through the night, slowly dropping south with time.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Wabash River at Vincennes.
* WHEN...From late Thursday night to Saturday, August 29.
* IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Extensive agricultural flooding in progress in areas that are not protected by levees. In Lawrence County Illinois, River Road is flooded from the Lincoln Memorial Bridge to the east edge of Billett.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:45 PM EDT Wednesday /9:45 PM CDT Wednesday/ the stage was 14.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early Friday morning to a crest of 20.6 feet early Tuesday morning.
