The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a
* Special Marine Warning for...
* Until 800 PM EDT.
* At 630 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from near Cross Ledge Light to 7 nm southwest of Bowers Beach to 19 nm east of Miles River, moving east at 30 knots.
HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts in excess of 50 knots, and small hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Boats could suffer significant structural damage in high winds. Small craft could capsize in suddenly higher waves.
