...The National Weather Service in Wichita KS has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Kansas...
Ninnescah South Fork near Murdock affecting Kingman County.
Ninnescah River near Peck affecting Sumner and Sedgwick Counties.
Ninnescah River near Belle Plaine affecting Sumner County.
Arkansas River at Arkansas City affecting Cowley County.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Ninnescah River near Peck.
* WHEN...From this evening to early Tuesday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Water flows over 103rd Street about 2 miles west of Clearwater. Flooding is about 2 feet deep in that area. South of Clearwater the river expands to about 1/2 mile on the south bank. Expect many county roads near the river to be flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 5.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this evening to a crest of 18.0 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
