At 524 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line from near Sapelo Buoy S to near Doboy Sound Buoy D, moving southeast at 15 knots.
HAZARD...Wind gusts to 34 knots.
SOURCE...Buoy. At 500 PM, a wind gust to 36 knots was observed by an official observation platform on Sapelo Island.
IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves.
