At 541 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles south of Bailey, or 16 miles northeast of Smithfield, moving east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include... Wilson, Fremont, Kenly, Lucama, Stantonsburg, Black Creek, Sims, Eureka, and Buckhorn Reservoir.
This includes the following highways... Interstate 95 between Mile Markers 121 and 106. NC Highway 264 between Mile Markers 36 and 53.
