The National Weather Service in Charleston has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for... East Central Kanawha County in central West Virginia... Southern Clay County in north central West Virginia... Northeastern Fayette County in southeastern West Virginia... Nicholas County in southeastern West Virginia...

* Until 1100 PM EDT.

* At 725 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Summersville, Richwood, Clay, Ansted, Craigsville, Glen, Drennan, Kesslers Cross Lanes, Mount Nebo, Muddlety, Canvas, Swiss, Bickmore, Widen, Indore, Calvin, Bentree, Nettie and Pond Gap.

This includes Route 19 between mile markers 25 and 53.
