Turkey Creek Near Wilber affecting Saline County.
Turkey Creek near De Witt affecting Saline and Gage Counties.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Turkey Creek near Wilber.
* WHEN...Until Sunday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Significant flooding of row crops in the flood plain begins. Downstream of the gage the town of De Witt may start experiencing flooding.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 12.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 11.0 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage early this morning to 14.7 feet this morning. It will then fall this afternoon. It will rise to 15.6 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall Saturday morning. It will rise to 14.9 feet early Saturday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late Sunday morning. - Flood stage is 12.5 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 15.5 feet on 03/04/1979. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
