Des Plaines River near Gurnee affecting Lake IL County.
Des Plaines River near Russell affecting Lake IL County.
For the Des Plaines River...including Russell, Gurnee...Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Des Plaines River from US-41 in Gurnee downstream to Townline Road in Vernon Hills, including the Gurnee gauge.
* WHEN...Until Sunday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 9.0 feet, Kilbourne Road and Emerald Avenue threatened near Grand Avenue in Gurnee.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 7.8 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:30 PM CDT Wednesday was 7.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 8 feet tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Sunday morning. - Flood stage is 7.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
