Fox River Lower Near New Munster affecting Lake and Kenosha Counties.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Fox River Lower near New Munster.
* WHEN...Until Friday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Water is up to the first floor levels of some homes in the Town of Wheatland, Silver Lake and Village of Salem Lakes area along Riverside Drive and Shorewood Drive. Hoosier Creek Rd floods.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 11.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:00 PM CDT Wednesday was 12.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late Friday morning and continue falling to 8.8 feet Wednesday, September 30. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 11.7 feet on 05/10/2019. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
