Des Plaines River near Gurnee affecting Lake IL County.
Des Plaines River near Russell affecting Lake IL County.
For the Des Plaines River...including Russell, Gurnee...Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Des Plaines River from IL/WI state line downstream to US-41 in Gurnee, including the Russell gauge.
* WHEN...Until Tuesday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 9.5 feet, Residential structures threatened along Russell Road between the river and Kilbourne Road. Industrial parking lots threatened along Kilbourne Road.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 9.3 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:30 PM CDT Wednesday was 9.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below moderate flood stage by around midday Thursday. The river is then expected to fall below flood stage early next week. - Flood stage is 7.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
