For the following areas... Waters from Little River Inlet SC to South Santee River SC from 20 to 60 NM...

At 1116 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located over Atlantic Ledge, moving east at 10 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include... Bp 25 Liberty Ship Wreck and Atlantic Ledge.
