* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...The island of Hawaii in Hawaii County...

* WHEN...Until 645 PM HST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in streams.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 456 PM HST, emergency management expanded the closure of Highway 11 in both directions due to flooding between Pinao Street and Kaalualu Road in Waiohinu. Kaalaiki Road remains closed near the intersection with Highway 11 in Naalehu. Areas of moderate rain will continue to move into southeast portions of the Big Island over the next few hours with rainfall rates generally 0.5 to 1 inch per hour. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Hawaiian Paradise Park, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Wood Valley, Volcano, Pahala, Glenwood, Punaluu Beach, Kawa Flats, Mountain View and Hawaiian Acres.
