.Recent periods of heavy rainfall have led to minor to moderate flooding along Wildcat Creek, the Wabash River, and the Mississinewa River. The flooding threat will persist over the weekend into early next week in some areas.

* WHERE...Wabash River at Covington.

* WHEN...From this afternoon to late Monday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, A few county roads begin to flood. Higher bottomlands begin to flood. The first cottage upstream from U.S. 136 bridge may become isolated by high water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:45 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 13.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this afternoon to a crest of 19.7 feet early Saturday afternoon.
