Flood Advisory

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...The island of Maui in Maui County...

* WHEN...Until 730 AM HST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in streams. Water over roadways. River or stream flows are elevated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 438 AM HST, Doppler radar indicated moderate to locally heavy rain over Maui. Rain was falling at a rate of up to 1.5 inches per hour. Minor flooding is ongoing in the advisory area. Additional bands of moderate to locally heavy rain are expected through the morning hours. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Kahului, Kihei, Lahaina, Kula, Pukalani, Makawao, Haliimaile, Keokea, Paia, Puunene, Haiku-Pauwela and Pauwela.
