* WHEN...Until 900 PM CDT Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1152 AM CDT, various rainfall observations, automated river gauges, and ground-truth reports from observers indicated that at least 3 to 5 inches of rain had fallen within the area mainly over the last 24 hours, resulting in continued minor flooding along area creeks and rivers, and some rural roads. In most places, water levels should continue to very slowly recede through the rest of today, as water increasingly drains into more mainstem rivers such as the Republican River and Little Blue River. Portions of these rivers, along with the Big Sandy Creek in northern Thayer County, are actually covered by separate Flood Warnings at this time.
This areal Flood Advisory effectively replaces an areal Flood Warning in effect for the same area that was set to expire at 12 PM CDT today. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Troublesome Creek, Little Oak Creek, Antelope Creek, Big Timber Creek, Middle Limestone Creek, Limestone Creek, Walnut Creek, Buffalo Creek, Dry Sandy Creek, White Rock Creek, East Marsh Creek, Rose Creek, Beaver Creek, Long Branch, Little Sandy Creek, Burr Oak Creek, Turtle Creek, Middle Creek, Spring Branch, Thawes Creek, Korb Creek, Lost Creek, Oxbow Creek, Elm Creek, South Fork Big Sandy Creek, Cottonwood Creek, Oak Creek, Crosby Creek, Elk Creek, Spring Creek, Crooked Auger Creek, Porcupine Creek, Humphrey Branch Rose Creek, Sand Creek. - Some locations that could experience flooding include...
