Wabash River at Montezuma, Covington, Terre Haute, Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site, and Riverton.

.Rounds of heavy rain has dumped between 2.50 inches and 5.25 inches of precipitation along the Wabash River over the past 48 hours, ending at 8 AM EDT this morning. This is bringing flooding to most of the Wabash River. At this point in time, all forecast crests are expected to be below moderate flood stage.

Additional rain, on and off, into the new work week is in store, which likely will prolong and possibly worsen flooding.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Wabash River at Montezuma.

* WHEN...Until early Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Park in southern Montezuma begins to flood. Higher bottomlands begin to flood. Water backs up most local tributaries. River water is at the top of some private levees. Lowest county roads begin to flood. Parke CR 75 W begins to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:45 AM EDT Friday the stage was 16.2 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:45 AM EDT Friday was 16.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.5 feet Sunday morning.
