* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. While the heaviest rainfall has ended, additional storms are now passing across the warned area that will increase flooding potential once again.
* WHERE...West Central Jefferson County in central Colorado... Northeastern Park County in central Colorado...
* WHEN...Until 645 PM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry creeks.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 505 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This may cause small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages... North Fork South Platte River, Maxwell Creek, North Elk Creek, Elk Creek, Deer Creek, Wisp Creek, Last Resort Creek, North Turkey Creek and Crow Creek. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include... Pine Junction, Pine Grove and Shaffers Crossing.
