* At 242 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the Cottonwood Burn scar in Piute County, with the heaviest rain falling over City Creek. Between 0.25 and 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow moving through the City Creek downstream to HW 89 between mile posts 166 and 167 north of Junction. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.
