At 601 PM EDT, emergency management reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain with numerous instances of flash flooding near and along the Interstate 80 corridor. Between 2.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Emergency management reported.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses.
Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Blairstown, Belvidere, Hope, Delaware Water Gap, Millbrook, Echo Lake, Werry Lake, Columbia, Flatbrookville, Five Points and Crandon Lakes.
This includes Interstate 80 in New Jersey between mile markers 0 and 14.
