* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...San Bernardino County in southern California...
* WHEN...Until 1245 AM PDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Some low-water crossings may become impassable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1043 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 0.75 inches of rain have fallen. - Main areas of concern for flooding tonight are low water crossings along Highway 62 between mile markers 45 and 105. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
