* Flash Flood Warning for... Northeastern Cook County in northeastern Illinois...

* Until 830 PM CDT.

* At 518 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing rainfall rates of up to 2 to 3 inches per hour lifting northward across the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly after the onset of heavy rain.

HAZARD...Flash flooding.

IMPACT...Rapid-onset flooding of creeks, streams, drainage ditches, streets, underpasses, low-lying areas, and other poor drainage areas.
