* At 840 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain falling across the warned area. Between 6 and 9 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.
