The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Southeastern Socorro County in central New Mexico...

* Until 745 PM MDT Tuesday.

* At 1148 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing moderate-to-heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen, where the ground is already saturated and fields are already pooling with water from recent heavy rains. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Socorro, San Antonio, Bosque Del Apache Refuge, Bingham, Escondida, Lemitar, Laborcita and Luis Lopez.

This includes the following highways... Highway 380 between Mile Markers 1 and 35. Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 103 and 146...and between Mile Markers 148 and 150...and near Mile Marker 154.
