* WHAT...For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves of 9 to 12 feet in the surf zone. For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip currents.
* WHERE...North, west, and south facing reefs of Tinian and Saipan.
* WHEN...Until 4 PM ChST Monday.
* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Elevated swells emanating from the southwesterly monsoon surge and Typhoon Choi-wan (26W) to the north will allow advisory-level surf and a high risk of rip currents to continue. Minor coastal flooding is no longer expected and the coastal flood statement was cancelled.
