.Heavy to extreme rainfall across northern central Indiana since last week has produced minor to moderate flooding along most of the Wabash River basin from Wildcat Creek down to Riverton, and minor flooding will develop at Vincennes and Mount Carmel over the next couple of days. The crest in moderate flood is currently at Montezuma and expected to reach Terre Haute overnight Thursday. Low end moderate to high end minor flooding are expected at points downriver of Terre Haute as well, with the crest finally reaching Mount Carmel around August 26th.

* WHERE...Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site.
* WHEN...Until Friday, August 28.
* IMPACTS...At 23.8 feet, Ball field in Hutsonville is extensively flooded. Blacktop road that runs along the Wabash River from Hutsonville to Palestine is still above flood waters. Most all of the roads leading from this road to the Wabash are underwater, some by several feet of water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - There is no current observed data. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 23.5 feet Saturday evening. It will then fall below flood stage Thursday, August 27. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
