At 525 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near South River to Cherry Branch Ferry Terminal to Catfish Lake. Movement was south at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down small trees and blow around unsecured objects. Wind impacting handling of high profile vehicles. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.

Morehead City and Harlowe around 540 PM EDT. Newport and Open Grounds Farm around 550 PM EDT. North River, Wildwood, and Kuhns around 555 PM EDT. Stella and Bettie around 600 PM EDT. Broad Creek, Otway, and Peletier around 605 PM EDT. Swansboro, Cape Carteret, Pine Knoll Shores, Bogue, Oceana Pier, and Michael J Smith Airport around 610 PM EDT.
