At 534 PM MDT, Another band of heavy rainfall is moving across the Organ Mountains. Expect flooding in low lying areas to continue to worsen, and runoff in arroyos will continue to flow.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of arroyos, roads, underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... White Sands Missile Range Headquarters... Aguirre Springs Recreation Area.
Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
