The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Eastern Kane County in southern Utah...

* Until 800 PM MDT.

* At 256 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of slot canyons, normally dry washes, creeks, streams and rivers. Hole- in-the-Rock Road may be impassible in areas that receive heavy rain.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Croton Canyon, Coyote Gulch, Brimstone, Peekaboo, Forty Mile Gulch, Fifty Mile Gulch, Davis Gulch and other drainages on Hole-in-the-Rock Road.
