The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for... Eastern Rush County in central Indiana... Henry County in east central Indiana...

* Until 100 PM EDT.

* At 945 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 1 inch in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.75 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... New Castle, Rushville, Knightstown, Carthage, Spiceland, Shirley, Kennard, Sulphur Springs, Mooreland, Lewisville, Mount Summit, Glenwood, Straughn, Dunreith, Cadiz, Springport, Greensboro, Blountsville, Mays and Summit Lake State Park.

Numerous flooded roadways have been reported across the region. Do not drive into flood waters.
