The National Weather Service in Lincoln has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for... Vermilion County in east central Illinois...

* Until 1245 PM CDT.

* At 843 AM CDT, emergency management reported continued flooding in Danville. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. Though flood waters are slowly receding, anticipate areas of flooding to persist for the next few hours.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.

SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Danville, Hoopeston, Tilton, Oakwood, Rossville, Potomac, Rankin, Fithian, Vermilion Regional Airport, Bismarck, Henning, Muncie, Collison, Alvin and Armstrong.

This includes Interstate 74 between mile markers 199 and 220.
