Dust Storm Warning

The National Weather Service in Phoenix has issued a

* Dust Storm Warning for... Maricopa County in south central Arizona... Pinal County in southeastern Arizona...

* Until 930 PM MST.

* At 850 PM MST, a wall of dust was along a line extending from near Usery Mountain Park to Tempe to 7 miles north of Estrella Sailport, moving northwest at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Less than a quarter mile visibility with strong wind in excess of 50 mph.

* This includes the following highways... AZ Interstate 10 between mile markers 125 and 160. AZ Interstate 17 between mile markers 195 and 215. AZ Route 51 between mile markers 1 and 15.

Locations impacted include... Phoenix, Mesa, Glendale, Scottsdale, Tempe, Avondale, Goodyear, Apache Junction, Fountain Hills, Paradise Valley, Tolleson, Laveen, Cashion, East Mesa, and Sun City.
