Flood Warning

...The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers...

Whitewater River at Brookville.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Whitewater River at Brookville.

* WHEN...From this evening to Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Flooding approaches structures in areas of Cedar Grove and New Trenton, as well as West Harrison, Indiana and Harrison, Ohio, with some lowland roads affected near the river. Particularly affected are low areas from Stavetown, Indiana to Harrison, Ohio. Some secondary roads become flooded, and residents near the river may need to move to higher ground in these areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:45 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 6.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 21.0 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
