* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Northeastern Jefferson County in central Colorado... Southwestern Adams County in northeastern Colorado... Southwestern Arapahoe County in northeastern Colorado... Southwestern Denver County in northeastern Colorado...

* WHEN...Until 845 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

- At 640 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen.

- This includes the following streams and drainages... Big Dry Creek, Westerly Creek, Sand Creek, Dutch Creek, Van Bibber Creek, Ralston Creek, Bear Creek, Clear Creek, Turkey Creek, Willow Creek, Little Dry Creek and Cherry Creek. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

- Some locations that will experience flooding include... Denver, Lakewood, southeastern Arvada, Littleton, Englewood, Wheat Ridge, Greenwood Village, Sheridan, Cherry Hills Village, Edgewater, Mountain View, Columbine, Pleasant View and Ken Caryl.
