* At 521 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Johnson City, Kingsport, Elizabethton, Jonesborough, Midway, Pine Crest, Central, Oak Grove, Gray and Spurgeon.
This includes the following highways... Interstate 26 in Tennessee between mile markers 4 and 22...and between mile markers 23 and 30. Interstate 81 in Tennessee between mile markers 50 and 61.
