Very heavy rain is expected.

When: Today.

Remarks: Heavy rain will continue today as a frontal system tracks southwards across Vancouver Island. Rainfall amounts of 100 mm are expected with potentially higher amounts over northern sections near Zeballos. The heavy rain will ease early this evening as the front exits the region.

Water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas. Local utility outages are possible.
