.Copious rainfall in the past 24 hours, totaling as much as 5 inches in Bartholomew County and 8 inches in Rush County, are quickly bringing flooding to the Big Blue River and Clifty Creek today. Rainfall will taper off the rest of the day, with additional amounts expected to be under four tenths of an inch.

* IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Extensive flooding is in progress. Many local roads flood and are impassable to most vehicles. A few evacuations are necessary in southern parts of Carthage, extreme southern sections of Knightstown, eastern Raysville and a few rural areas of northwest Rush County. Used auto parts yard in Carthage is flooded.
