The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for... Henry County in east central Indiana...

* Until 1045 PM EDT Wednesday.

* At 417 PM EDT, emergency management reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 5 and 10 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.25 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.

SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... New Castle, Knightstown, Spiceland, Shirley, Kennard, Sulphur Springs, Mooreland, Lewisville, Mount Summit, Straughn, Dunreith, Cadiz, Springport, Greensboro, Blountsville and Summit Lake State Park.

Emergency management has reported that numerous roadways are flooded across the region and evacuations are occurring. Do not drive into flood waters.
