The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for... Northern Shelby County in central Indiana...

* Until 100 PM EDT.

* At 945 AM EDT, the public reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Public reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Shelbyville, Morristown and Fairland.

Numerous flooded roadways have been reported across the region. Do not drive into flood waters.
