Flash Flood Warning

At 1016 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Lincoln, Mason City, Petersburg, Athens, Mount Pulaski, Williamsville, Greenview, Chandlerville, Elkhart, Latham, Bath, Middletown, Easton, Kilbourne, New Holland, Chestnut, Cornland, Beason, Oakford and Lawndale.

This includes the following State Parks... Edward R. Madigan State Park and Jim Edgar Panther Creek Fish and Wildlife Area.

This includes the following highways... Interstate 55 between mile markers 108 and 135. Interstate 155 between mile markers 0 and 4.
