.Radar estimates of 2 to 6 inches of rainfall in Howard County within the past 24 hours, ending at 2 PM EDT today, along with ongoing rain is bringing flooding to much of central Indiana along and east of I-65. Flooding is expected to develop on the Wildcat by late-afternoon today.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Wildcat Creek at Kokomo.
* WHEN...From this afternoon to early tomorrow afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 16.8 feet, In late December 1990, 60 homes flooded in the Kokomo area. The Hillcrest area had one to three feet of water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:00 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 9.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.5 feet late this evening. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 10.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
