* Until 330 PM EDT.

* At 236 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were extending from 6 miles northeast of Bailey to 13 miles northwest of Fremont to 9 miles east of Clayton to near Smithfield, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include... Rocky Mount, Smithfield, Wilson, Elm City, Bailey, Micro, Selma, Sharpsburg, Pine Level, and Kenly.

This includes the following highways... Interstate 95 between Mile Markers 132 and 93. NC Highway 264 between Mile Markers 28 and 50.
