Flash Flood Warning

At 518 AM HST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain over Oahu with additional bands of heavy rain expected to move in over the next few hours. Rain was falling at a rate of 1 to 3 inches per hour. Local streams such as Manoa is showing record stream flow and is likely causing considerable impacts.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing flash flooding.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Honolulu, Waipio, Pearl City, Mililani, Waikele, Aiea, Wahiawa, Waipahu, Wheeler Field, Kunia, Halawa and Waiahole.
