At 411 PM MDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms producing flash flooding and a car stranded in water 1 mile west of Byers. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, gulches, roads, and poor drainage and low-lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Byers and Strasburg.
This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 307 and 319.
