Flood Warning

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central Kansas, including the following counties, Barton, Ellsworth, Rice and Russell.

* WHEN...Until 700 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 259 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Thunderstorms continue to persist over the warned area and additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Great Bend, Hoisington, Ellinwood, Claflin, Holyrood, Bushton, Pawnee Rock, Albert, Lorraine, Olmitz, Milberger, Galatia, Susank, Odin, Cheyenne Bottoms, Great Bend Airport and Silica.
